In 2016, the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Language and Culture Center was constructed. 7GAE provided architectural and engineering design services for the center, which includes a classroom for language and cultural teaching, a flex space for gatherings and cultural teaching such as basket making, and a Tribal historic preservation space. The archival facilities of the building now contain the original “Birch-Bark Booklets,” written by Simon Pokagon and published posthumously from 1893 to 1901. The Language and Culture Center is featured in this article published by the Historical Society of Michigan.
