Architectural and Engineering Design Services

The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe commissioned Seven Generations Architecture and Engineering to provide full design services for a new Health Clinic for the District 2 Community. The Facility was designed to provide General Practice Health Clinic Services, Dental Clinic Services as well as Community Support Services for Behavioral Health, Public Health and Family Services.

The facility was also designed to accommodate basic Radiology Services. The overall approach to the design concept was to create a patient centric environment within the clinic. Staff and Patient circulation was separated to allow for a collaborative work zone for providers. The building was also divided into ’wings’ to separate community service functions from general clinic functions. A traditional healing space was also incorporated to allow for cultural healing events such as smudging ceremonies.
