“All time, everywhere learning”

Seven Generations is currently providing architectural and engineering services on several projects for Dowagiac Union Schools. The project for the “Transformation of Dowagiac High School” follows the tenets set forth by the community in the November 2015 Bond Issues. The design includes a new Safe and Secure entry to the high school with the reorganization of the Administration Office.

The overall square footage of the existing high school is 116,216; which will be completely renovated for finishes, fixtures, and mechanical systems. A new Competition Gym addition will bring the total building SF to 137,823.

“All time, everywhere learning” is the main concept for technology in the transformation of the high school. The existing cafeteria was renamed “Great Room” in the Visioning Phase. New fixed and movable tables will energize the space for dining, providing multiple seating configurations and areas for learning.

The Media Center has been renamed “Learning and Research Center”. A group of 24 students will be able to use a computer lab for instruction and research similar to a Steelcase Learn Lab on the south end of the LRC.
