Jeremy Berg

Managing Director

Jeremy is an active leader in all phases of the practice of architecture, including master planning, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. He has experience leading multi-discipline teams for new healthcare facilities, additions, and renovations of existing healthcare facilities.

Scott Winchester

Project Manager / Tribal Liaison

Scott is responsible for tribal client relations, planning, business development and project management.  He is an enrolled member of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi and has over 35 years of architectural experience specializing in design of Tribal healthcare, educational and justice facilities.

Steve VandenBussche

Director of Architecture / Senior Healthcare Architect

Steve is the director of architecture of Seven Generations Architecture and Engineering and leads the Healthcare Architecture and Planning for the company.

Eric Phillips

Project Coordinator

Eric is active in producing all documents within the design phase of architectural projects, including schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.  He has over seven years experience in producing and managing healthcare documents, healthcare construction administration and will prove to be a valuable asset.

Jim Keefer

Project Coordinator / Designer

Jim has more than 12 years of experience leading project teams on business, education and healthcare projects from schematic design through construction administration.  Jim's primary market sector experience is in the healthcare design realm and he comes to Seven Generations a+e with a vast understanding of universal design & evidence based design principles with the healthcare market.

Stephanie Sokolowski

Interior Designer

Stephanie has over five years’ experience in commercial interior architecture and design. Her experience includes all phases of the design process for renovations, additions, and new construction. She has practiced primarily in the healthcare design market for both private and government owned facilities.

Rick Slone

Senior Technical Manager

Rick has over 35 years of architectural experience in a variety of project roles. As a part of the architectural team, Rick will oversee the preparation of construction drawings, working closely with the design team to clearly document the defined scope of work.

Sara Tripp

Project Manager

Sara believes that architecture should be simple, elegant, and function driven. Her experience includes design, documentation, and project coordination for clients in the Education, Healthcare, Institutional and Municipal markets.

Jordan Strong

Architectural Intern

Jordan is a part time intern assisting our technical team with production tasks for a wide range of project types.

Shane Cromwell

Architectural Associate

Shane is a recent graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Shane is assisting with tasks in all aspects of the design and production process.

Michael Hawarny

Project Coordinator

Michael Hawarny graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy with a Masters of Architecture and  has 6 years of industry experience.  Michael is a Project Coordinator for Seven Generations a+e and has experience in all phases of the design process.

Alex Hokkanen

Architectural Associate

Alex is a recent graduate with a Masters of Architecture from the University of Michigan.  Alex is passionate about sustainable health environments, and ecologically sound community planning and design; he is supporting the Seven Generations team in all aspects of the architectural practice including proposal writing, research, architectural design and production.

Annie Swartley

Administrative Assistant

Annie is our Office Manager and assists all staff with a wide range of tasks including: Proposal Writing, Billing/Invoicing, Marketing, Business Development, Internal Staff Organization, Technical Lunch & Learn Programs and general clerical support.   We are delighted to have Annie with us on our team!

Nathan Fishnick

Architectural Associate

Nathan is a recent graduate of University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Nathan is assisting with tasks in all aspects of the design and production process. 

Dan Heaton

Senior Project Architect

Dan has over 34 years of architectural experience in complex and innovative military, laboratory, educational and senior living projects.  He graduated from Ball State University and has practiced in Indiana and Ohio before joining our team in Michigan.

Veronika Gaska

Interior Design Intern

Veronika is a senior at Western Michigan University. She is involved in interior finish selections, redline work in construction documents, specifications and submittals, completion of finish binders, and assisting in anything else that is needed. 

Nicholas Miller

Business Development Intern

Nicholas recently graduated from Western Michigan University with two degrees: Business Management and Creative Writing. His primary goals at 7GAE are to streamline data collection, and to reserach potential business opportunities and new relationships with other organizations.
